Ministry of MSDE to set up 14 AWSITC in India

Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is to launch 14 Authorized World Skills India Training Centers (AWSITC) across nine cities in India. The announcement was made by the Union Minister of MSDE Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey. The centres aim to improve the Media and Entertainment sector. New Institutes: ♦ AWSITCs will be set up in partnership with the Media & Entertainment Skill Council (MESC). ♦ The setting up of the new institutes aims to provide advanced skill training of candidates in the media and entertainment sector.  ♦ The initiative aims to help them compete in the WorldSkills and IndiaSkills competitions.  ♦ It will also further develop the skilling eco-system for training candidates for the international market. ♦ The institutes will help the candidates to enhance their skills according to global standards. The training programs have been designed as per the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) level in which the industries will be linked.  ♦ Candidates will be provided hands-on training on live projects.
